Hi + welcome!
My name is Emily Wright, and I am currently a third-year interior design student at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. This is a space dedicated to a weekly exploration of my design inquiries for my Honors Prospectus. You will find blogs that contain my process work as I walk through this journey, along with design encounters, new ideas, and interests and inspiration as I discover the subject on which I will base my Prospectus. I am excited to move further into my explorations, finally!

I have a profound interest in the movement of people in a space, how they use it, how they learn from it, how they grow from it, how they feel it. I am inspired by how materials in connection with color and culture can move one to have strong feelings about a place. When I find myself in a home and am in awe, I wonder, "How can I create a space of wonder for others? How can a space be made to make them want to move and discover more?"
We as people are curious by nature, and we, as designers, are nothing short of the matter. I am eager to dive deeper into these thoughts throughout this journey. So, enjoy the read!
